Mateusz Bieniek, one of the best middle-blockers in the world, will be the PGE Skra volleyball player for the upcoming season. The player was loaned to the Bełchatów team from Cucine Lube Civitanova.
You don't have to introduce Bieniek volleyball fans. This is a very titled middle-blocker who is considered one of the best players in his position in the world. He started his career in Norwid Częstochowa, with which he won the Polish Junior Championship, and then gained experience in Effector Kielce (2013-2016). This resulted in a transfer to Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, with which he won two gold and silver medals at the Polish Championships and two national cups. Bienek's great attitude gave him a pass to Cucine Lube Civitanova, which is one of the best clubs in the world. With the Italian team last season he won the club Club World Championship and the Italian Cup.
We cannot forget about Bieńek's international successes, including the World Championship. In addition, the middle-blocker is the bronze medalist of the European Championship and World Cup, and in the second of these tournaments he also won silver.
After a successful season in Cucine Lube Bieniek will change club colors. PGE Skra Bełchatów, the most successful volleyball club in the 21st century in Poland, will benefit from the annual loan.
- I hope that we will get as many successes as possible and win the Polish championship. This will be my and my team's goal. We have a lot of time to prepare for the season and I hope that together after this season we will enjoy the successes in the country and Europe - says Mateusz Bieniek.
