The three-day event will consist of a charity match and a two-day tournament. The Volleyball Giants will be held in Kępno from 18 to 20 September 2020, and the entire income will be donated to charity.
Traditionally, the organizers focused on the formula of an inter-state match. This year, teams from Poland, PGE Skra Bełchatów and Jastrzębski Węgiel, will play against Turkish teams from Istanbul: Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
- Volleyball is an explosion of emotions, it is pure adrenaline, on the other hand, this sport is distinguished by a high culture of support, family and beauty of high flying players - says Wojciech Rozdolski, the organizer of the Volleyball Giants tournament. - In a few months there will be an opportunity to prove this. There is nothing else for me but to invite for three-day emotions in Kępno.
- Recalling 10 years earlier, when Mr. Wojciech Rozdolski asked PGE Skra to propose that we would then become the tournament ambassador and take part in it, I said "yes" and I do not regret this decision. PGE Skra's motto is "more than passion, more than volleyball". You will not help everyone in life, but you must be open to such activities. Help is important. I am glad that through volleyball we can help and warm up various relationships. We show that there are no divisions, and the most important is the goal, i.e. helping children in need. The sport aspect is also important. The tournament has a high rank. For us, this is a serious issue from the training point of view, because we can play solidly before socializing. So everything is right and I am very happy that we joined this project several years ago - says Konrad Piechocki, president of KPS Skra Bełchatów S.A.
- Volleyball Giants tournaments are always organized for a good cause. That is why our team has always been happy to accept the invitation. We are glad that we can help collect money for further goals - says Mariusz Wlazły, attacker of PGE Skra Bełchatów, one of the legends of Polish volleyball.
