For a long time, Łomacz has been a full-time Polish representative, and in the team, he complemented perfectly with Fabian Drzyzga. The coach Vital Heynen decided, however, that after winning the Olympic qualification, which was the priority for this season, the setter will return to the club and will not go to the European Championships.
This did not mean, however, that the national season for Łomacz was over. Although the volleyball player started preparations at the club, he has now been called to the World Cup, which will take place from October 1-15 in Japan.
- I am very happy that I have been called to the national team again. It will be nice to play in the World Cup. I didn't go to the European Championships because that was the coach's decision, but I'm still for the national team. I am looking forward to travelling to Japan, although this is not our priority for this season. However, if we fly there, we will definitely play for the win in every match - says Łomacz.
Let us remind you that in addition to Łomacz, the World Cup will also feature Norbert Huber, Karol Kłos, Jakub Kochanowski and Artur Szalpuk, which are the next players of PGE Skra, and the training staff includes physiotherapist Tomasz Pieczko and scout Robert Kaźmierczak.
